 Our special, calm and nurturing woodland space can help you rest, recover, reconnect and revitilise.  Woodland wellness retreats are designed to give you an opportunity to focus on yourself, even if only for an hour, to take time to soak up the healing power of the natural world, to breathe and refresh.

Retreats take place at our Tangled With Nature woodland near to Cheriton Bishop in Devon but if preferred many of the experiences can be brought to you – at your home, event space or workplace.

Woodland based natural complementary therapies for women take place in our cosy treatment tent deep in our woodland. 

With sparkling candles and fairy lights, soft towels and blankets, in the winter you’ll be warmed by our log burning stove and in the summer cooled by the woodland breeze.

  • The art of aromatherapy uses essential oils, which are natural plant extracts, to help boost your physical and emotional well being. Oils are blended to suit each individual and treatments may help a variety of conditions including muscular aches & pains and stress related problems.   • Take time out to experience a 1 hour aromatherapy full body massage in the peaceful surroundings of our woodland. The treatment will begin with a short consultation followed by a unique natural massage oil being blended specifically for you. Our 1 hour treatment includes massage to the neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands, legs and feet. A wonderful way to ease stress, unwind, release tension in the body and promote a deep sense of calm.

  • Treat yourself to our 1.5 hour aromatherapy full body massage which as well as focusing on your neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands, legs and feet also includes a holistic face massage giving a top to toe body experience.

    On arrival to our holistic therapy space you will receive a short consultation. From this a natural massage oil for both your face and body will be blended and your treatment will begin.

  • Using gentle pressure point massage to the feet or hands reflexology boots the body’s natural healing system. Based on the principle that our body is reflected in miniature on our feet and hands this relaxing non-intrusive treatment can help reduce physical and emotional tension.

Women’s woodland wellness retreats

Spend time in nature with a group of likeminded women recharging your batteries, learning new skills and taking time out for you.

Our retreats are a supportive space in which you can slow down, breathe and experience the healing power of the natural world.

  • Our half day retreats run from either 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 4pm and are either a workshop focused on a specific activity, such as natural perfume making, or involve a number of mindful activities designed to promote a sense of calm and wellness. Activities may include forest bathing, natural therapies, natural art creation and woodland crafts. During the session there is time spent round the campfire, time to explore the woodland or time relaxing in a hammock.

  • I know how hard it can be to book out a day just focusing on you, but taking time to recharge your batteries is important for both your physical and emotional health. Running on empty can have a big impact on your life, and allowing time to give yourself a boost is essential.

    Our woodland wellness retreats offer a supportive outdoor environment in which to soak up the healing energy of the natural world.

    Each retreat is unique but may include woodland walks, forest bathing, yoga, natural art and crafts, spoon carving, massage and coaching.

    There is space to chat to others around our hypnotic campfire, but equally space to be alone if you would like, whether this be lying back in one of our hammocks or sitting or wandering amongst the trees.
